A New Chapter for 7 Minute Stories
Season 7 of 7MS will continue through December 2026.
But then…
Beginning in January 2027, the 7 Minute Stories podcast feed will become Shortwave Stories.
This is a full circle moment for me. As a kid, one of my biggest storytelling dreams was to hear my stories on the radio. This fall, those stories can be heard on 14 public radio stations, with more being added each month and national syndication in sight.
By bringing the 7 Minute Stories podcast feed together with the Shortwave Stories public radio series, we are creating one singular destination for these stories, both in the podcast space and across public radio.
For current listeners of the podcast feed, you don’t have to do anything.
Nothing changes except the name. You will still receive a new story every week, now with even more polished sound design and original scoring courtesy of my sonic storytelling partner Echo Finch.
You will also continue to have access in your podcast feed to the complete archive of every 7 Minute Stories season.
